One of the varieties of cosmetic dental procedures to improve the form and function of your teeth offered by Medgaus Dental is dental implants. Dental implants are artificial teeth that serve as the replacement for missing or damaged teeth. By doing so, dental implants have been shown to reduce the strain caused by the gap in your teeth, which causes misalignment. Dr. Carl Medgaus is one of the region’s most experienced and skilled dental implants specialists. He recommends this procedure be performed as quickly as possible because missing gaps may lead to other more severe dental problems.
Many regard dental implants as a better alternative to dental bridges and dental plates because dental implants allow for the preservation of jaw structure and bone height, which is commonly damaged due to misalignment. Misalignment is a serious problem. It can cause bacterial infections and severe pain.
We offer several different types of implants, based on each patient’s individual needs at our Pittsburgh and Monroeville offices:
Endosteal (Root Form Implants)
This is the most common dental implant procedure and the one that satisfies most patients’ needs. We offer various types of endosteal (meaning “bone”) implants, including screws, cylinders, and blades that are surgically placed. Each implant can hold one or more prosthetic teeth.
Available exclusively at Medgaus Dental Group, Stabili-Teeth™ is the more affordable denture solution that offers the same long-term reliability, the same long-lasting stability as traditional implants, while eliminating the high costs (starting at $160 per month). Full Arch Fixed Detachable Rehabilitation (TeethXpress, Same Day Teeth, All on Four…)
There are many names for this type of service when the teeth are replaced on the upper or lower jaw with four to six implants on each jaw and the permanent teeth are attached to those implants.

If this describes you, please be assured that taking the first step – making an appointment with us – can change your life. We make a concerted effort to make your experience here as comfortable and painless – emotionally and physically – as possible. And…if cost is keeping you away, know that we have access to many affordable payment plans.
